Second alli Diet Book Set to Go on Sale on June 12th

With just under three weeks to go before diet pill alli goes on sale, you get one more chance to spend money on ancillary products before you get to actually try the diet drug.

The alli Diet Plan book, a paperback book that is billed as "Your Essential Guide to lasting weight loss and fitness for life," is scheduled to go on sale on June 12th three days before the diet pill itself is slated to become available.

With a list price of $19.95, the book by Dr. Caroline Apovian, director of the Nutrition and Weight Loss Management Center and co-director of Nutrition and Metabolic Support Service at Boston University Medical Center, is being offered by various discounters for prices as low as $11.99.

The book, according to GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, provides:
  • an effective, doctor-designed twelve-week program that includes easy-to-follow meal plans;
  • more than two hundred recipes;
  • detailed guidelines for eating out;
  • a long-term strategy for keeping weight off;
  • a low-intensity, fat-burning, and toning fitness program designed to maximize the results.

This is the second alli book offered for sale during the "educational" run-up to actual sale of the diet drug. The first, called "Are You Losing It? Losing Weight Without Losing Your Mind," went on sale in early May for $5.99.

The second book also will be available at many of the major retailers, supermarkets and pharmacies that will be selling diet pill alli starting on or about June 15th.
